A Homeschool Co-op

Learning, enrichment, and play. “Take the leap!”

LEAP is an excellent supplement to your homeschool curriculum, providing your child with a
social environment and programs in gym, art, and music. Older students will get the option to try out for musical theater, join student council, and prepare for adult life. Electives are chosen by student interests.

Our Purpose

Enhancing the homeschool experience

The purpose of LEAP co-op is to empower homeschool parents to raise citizens with integrity, faith in God, and a mindset of service; to benefit the member’s education through classes, and communities through service together.

Our Programs

Classes for ages 2-18. We meet weekly from September through April on Fridays. We offer gym, art, music, musical theater, student council, as well as electives. There will be holiday and birthday parties offered, field day, service project opportunities and field trips. Cost is $200 per student annually for core classes, electives and field trips will be an extra cost. An additional annual donation to the church of $60 per family is also required, insurance and cleaning fees change year to year.

LEAP Culture

We are a group of Jesus followers trying our best to follow Him. We are imperfect but always striving and encouraging one another. We build culture and community through shared experiences. Our hostess plans mom events, family nights and even retreats. Cliques are not tolerated at LEAP and can be cause for removal via vote by the board, you can be assured that LEAP is a welcoming place.

Parent Involvement

At LEAP we pay teachers, parents are not required to teach. There are a few reasons for this. We know moms (and dads!) are tired by the end of the week and outsourcing some fun classes can be a needed break. We also want our parents to be making true, deep friendships as well. This happens when hanging out and talking! We also know some moms are shy or introverted and teaching in front of a group of kids just isn’t their thing. We want to create as little barrier as possible for kiddos to have a fun place to grow and make friends.

Parents are, however, required to volunteer. The good news is parents have options to choose from and make those preferences known upon registration. There are opportunities as simple as: clean up crew, party planning, or even a teacher’s assistant where you can help in class.

Statement of Faith

We at LEAP co-op establish this statement of faith in order to promote Christian ethical and moral behavior, to aspire to give our children a Godly legacy, to strengthen our families and communities, to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe the whole Holy Bible to be God inspired, inerrant, divinely preserved, word of God which constitutes completed and final revelation, to be sole and final authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, Psalm 119:89, Psalm 12:6-7)

We believe there is one true living God- existing eternally in 3 persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1, John 10:30 and 37-38)

We believe in the death on the cross, resurrection, ascent to heaven, sinless life, virgin birth and miracles of our Lord, Jesus Christ.(Isaiah 7:14, Matt 1:23, Luke 1:35, Heb 4:15 and 7:25 and 9:12 and 1:14, John 2:11 and 11:25, Acts 1:11, and Rev 9:11-16)

We believe all humans are naturally sinful and can only be forgiven by repentance and a statement of trust in Jesus Christ as savior brought about by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 3:23 and 5:12, John 3:16, Titus 3:5-7).

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God given to the sinner by grace and received by personal faith in Jesus Christ alone as savior whose death on the cross paid for man’s sin. This free gift is not received by personal works whatsoever. (Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, John 1:12 and 5:24, Rom 5:15, 6:23, 10:9-13, Acts 16:31).

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict and regenerate mankind, to indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service, to help the believer bear the fruit of the spirit. (John 16:7-14, Titus 3:5, 1 Cor 6:19 and 12:13, Rom 8:14, Eph 5:18)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they who are saved to eternal life and those who are lost unto eternal death. (Rom 6:23, John 3:16, Gal 6:8, Prov 11:19, 2 Tim 1:10, John 3:36, Ezek 18:30-32, Matt 7: 13-14, Rev 20:11-15, Matt 10:28, James 4:12, Heb 10:39, Rom 5:9, 2 Thess 1:8-9)

We believe creation of man and all kind is an act of God and affirm God’s design of two genders. Gen 1:26-28, and 5:1-2).

We affirm biblical definition of marriage as one man and one woman as well as God’s design for sexuality. (Gen 2:24, Mark 10:6-9)

We are committed to the Great Commission for believers to proclaim the gospel to make disciples in all the world. (Eph 2:10).

We will each live a life of integrity, inspired by the Holy Spirit and Jesus’ teachings.  Our faith in Jesus Christ is evidenced in our changed lives and works that glorify the Father.

To be part of LEAP community you must agree and believe in the full statement.
